Our adult day program provides
a safe, comfortable and inviting
atmosphere for those in need of
supportive services and convenient hours
to accommodate the schedules of both the
participant and the caregiver. We
believe that older adults can continue
with full and interesting lives if they
are encouraged and assisted. Our adult
day care program is designed to do just
that.
At Senior Independence Adult Day Care
Program, we realize that aging is a
natural process. Yet aging often brings
with it unforeseen health problems,
boredom and loneliness, and dependency
on others. For the caregiver, that
dependency can turn into a
round-the-clock responsibility. Many
caregivers end up feeling overwhelmed
and as though they have no place to turn
for help. Eldercare provides the
caregiver daytime respite from their
responsibilities.
Who will benefit from our day care
program?
Our program is designed to meet the
needs of older adults who experience one
or more of the following:
- They are lonely or socially
isolated and would benefit from
increased activities and
companionship
- They have physical impairment
and find their activities restricted
- They are confused or disoriented
and in need of a protective setting
(i.e., Alzheimer's or memory
impairment)
- Their families or caregivers are
employed or have other daytime
responsibilities
